I just got back from a little solo fun run up Angeles Crest Hwy. The highway is closed at the turnoff to Palmdale, but there is still about 10 miles of 3rd gear twisty fun before that. There are half a dozen or so spots where water is coming across the highway, but it was clear not muddy and the road was free of gravel and rocks.

If anyone is interested, I was thinking we could meet at 7:00 in parking lot 'K' of the Rose Bowl. The route I drove was:

Start at Rose Bowl on Seco
L on Salvia Canyon Rd
R on Linda Vista
L on Lida St
R on Chevy Chase Dr
R on Foothill
Quick L on Angeles Crest to turnaround

There is a parking lot where the highway deadends (a ranger station or something). We could stop there, regroup, take photos before heading back down. There must be somewhere good for coffee/breakfast in La Canada if anyone needs fuel after the run.

No rain predicted tonight. Looks like sun tomorrow.
