Are they the same pads for front and rear? I have pads for 4 rotors and they are all the same. I didn't buy them at the same time so I'm wondering if the parts guy screwed up. I have a '98 C4S. Thanks....

Randy,
I believe that they are different. I change all of my pads a few weeks ago and recall that the backs were smaller. If I recall correctly, the front pad part numbers were 993-351-949-00 whereas the rears were 993-351-939-01.
Hope that helps.

SECRET INFORMATION:
Suncoast Porsche had a screaming good deal on Textar OEM pads for the Big Reds. That deal might still be available. Shhhhh. Don't tell anyone. Phil at Suncoast might be the right guy to talk to [wink, wink, nudge, nudge]. Just don't tell anyone!

Just purchased 2 sets of front oem (Textar) pads (993-351-939-01) @ $34.49/set from Sunset Porsche.
My purchase was part of a national Porsche sale on pads from a year ago. Is it still in effect or it this just a sale at Suncoast?

Beg Red Pads.
Part Number List Price
Normally Aspirated, Front 993 351 939 01 $133.17
Normally Aspirated, Rear 965 352 939 04 $92.04
Twin Turbocharger, Front BR 993 351 949 00 $102.50
Twin Turbocharger, Rear BR 993 351 939 01 $133.17
Note the rears will fit in the front but they are too short. The above info is off Suncoast's web site. Also note...the stock pads work very well on the track, a pointer from Guru DJ, now a Radical driver.
I am going to give the stock pads a try at Cali Speedway and have a set of Pagid's in reserve. At this track there is one slow down from about 135 to 55 every 2 minutes or so.
