customized rear end

Ouch! That's so frustrating. Sorry to see it happen. Wouldn't you love to catch the people in the act?
It happened to me in my other car 4 times in 5 months. The insurance company must have thought I had some scam going, which I definitely didn't!
Once you have it fixed, you'll never know the difference (best if you delete the pictures too).

Bad news. Don't assume it was an SUV. I park my work pig (Ford Explorer) on the street. My neighbor rear-ended it in her Lexus ... drove home without checking in with me. I discovered she and her husband looking at my car later ... they confessed to the mess. A couple of weeks later, someone backed into the pig again, front end this time, and drove off. Isn't this a great honest world we live in?
Good luck on the repairs.

Oh man! That sucks!! I feel your pain. Klein's Sterling did work on my car to remove some keying I got while parked at UT-Austin, then later to replace my bumper when I was smacked by one of those Austin drivers as described above. The repair was indistinguishable and immaculate. Ronnie is in Dripping Springs. PM me if you'd like more details or his contact info. He's a great guy, highly recommended.

Man, that totally sucks!!
I had a Dodge Ram a few years ago and backed into a guys Integra parallel parking and wiped out his front bumper cover with my tow hitch. It didn't make me or him happy, but I left a note and took care of it. Ironiocally, someone backed out of a spot parked next toi mine and turned there wheel putting their bumper into and down the length of my door. No note, NOTHING!

I apologize for the flippant remark regarding the SUV part, although based on the location the car was parked and the height of the impact (tailight and above) I don't believe I am jumping to conclusion, that said my wife drives one and so do 90% of her friends who have kids. Needless to say that based what I have seen just in the school parking lot we volunteer for the field trips! (Austin Drivers Also, an SUV was responsible so doing a similar number to my XJR, and my TR6 suffered a somewhat similar fate with a Pick up... call me biased, but a low car is hard to see and can be crunched will out even noticing ...and Pick up and SUV are pretty much the majority around here. BTW, for those in the Austin area, are you guys familiar with Berly's in Pfugerville - I understand they work only on highend cars and have a good reputation

Take a bad thing and turn it into a good thing.

Best part about the bumper: You don't have to explain the mod to your wife.
