1. I searched for all completed listings 56 hrs. after the listing was posted.
2. Once I found the listing, I copied the url. When posting a message you will find a little icon with a globe(?) with a link. First, you can type in text for the link (optional) and then you will copy the url. Simple, eh?

I don't have the exact prices as it probably fluctuates with the Euro, and the Euro is not kind these days. My guess is $45k minimum. I knew when my PO did the BTR-2 conversion in August 2000, he paid $62k. But that was with a whole bunch of extras: titanium engine innerds, special Recaro seats, splitters and side skirts, aero-dynamic side mirrors and gutter inserts, etc. Also that work was done by RUF in Germany.
RUF now has an U.S. store in Dallas, Texas. I'm sure they can quote you current prices.

The other sources is Weissach in Vancouver BC. Would not hurt to pitch one against another.

I almost purchased a '97 993 C2 Coupe in March '04 but passed after PPI.
I found this place to be very valuable when I was searching, anyhoo (sp.?);
This C4S was listed on E-bay 02-16-05. It came from the Fort Collins, CO area.The auction was ended after approx. 53 hours, the price ended at $40,300.00. I had been watching the listing and was surprised when it was abrutly pulled. Then I saw the exact same car listed at Truspeed. I do not know what the final sales price was, but hopefully this helps if you are negotiating.
I tried to upload the listing, but couldn't.

i wasnt aware that there was a RUF engine upgrade package available for naturally aspirated 993s.... i thought the only option there was to upgrade to a turbo motor THEN get the RUF upgrade....

Crap your right it is the same car. I think I am going to go and cry. It is a great car. Very well taken care of. I was first in line to buy the car, but the time frame did not work out for me. This makes me very sad.

Anyone interested in a green cab w/ low miles?

sounds like the '96 arena red I missed out that's on e-bay now from LA. I waited 24hours and missed getting for well under 30k. Guy has it on now for 34,900 buy it now. I haven't posted in a while, but I have been following the 993 prices for years. Great if you own one...not so great if you want to get back in! Man, I miss my c4s that I sold to Addison!

You can take an N/A Carrera and get a RUF BTR upgrade. In RUF-speak, BTR is a single turbo, and CTR (ala the famous Yellow Bird) is twin turbos.
If you start with a n N/A car, RUF will add a single K-27 turbo, new transmission, suspension, steering rack, wiring harness, brakes, Motronic ECU, exhaust system, oil coolers, intercooler, wheels, and other goodies to turn your regular Carrera into a real beast. Mine is a narrow body, RWD, turbo RUF. The best combination in my book.
If you start with a tt, you can get either the CTR or Turbo-R conversions. That would be AWD and wide body by default.
And now you know the rest of the story.
