Given your unfamilarity with these models, I'd suggest that you find a competant, honest Porsche specialist where these cars are and have a VERY thorough Pre-purchase Inspection done.
This might cost you $ 300+ but its FAR cheaper than getting a car with some problems that were not disclosed.
Find a reputable professional and have them check any potential candidate for you.
