Default How long does it take to get from North Carolina to California??

36 hours and 2735 miles later in my new 97' TT
I met up with the seller in Wilmington, NC he is a younger guy with lots of money and toys the car was everything as it was represented to be so money changed hands and off to the local NC DMV to get a temporary plate to get across country. A good friend flew out to check out the area he is thinking of locating to Ashville, NC and he wanted to drive back with me so.....
I picked him up at the Asheville airport at 0900 Friday we took the I40 route across country and started running into weather around the western part of Texas with some heavy fog. A little rain in The first part of New Mexico and then snow in Arizona!!!
I have been waiting to get the pics from my friend to post them but he is taking a little longer than I hoped so once I get them I will post them.
I can say that I am very pleased and that so far the car has exceeded my expectations of the transition from a chipped 95' 993 to the 97' 993 TT
I am very impressed with the driveability in the snow.
I just got called into work so I will post more later

Like the Rootwood shifter & brake handle. The car looks great! Heard there was a group buy on PSS9's.....

Hey you bought Ramsey's car. Congrats man, good luck with it! Yeah he's got a bit of cake stashed away, not to mention the other Porsche 911, the new R32 VW, the Z.

Enjoy

Sweet car. I bought my car in NC also and was planning the exact same trip back with the car. Ran into some personal problems so I had to have the car shipped instead. Bet it was a nice trip coming back West.

Very nice! congrats.

There is nothing like a cross-country jaunt in a Porsche. My 36-hour blast from Seattle to Tampa in my RUF 930s was one of the most memorable trips ever...
