I'm seeking some advice on aligning the latches of both the trunk and engine lids. I had to remove the engine bay latch to provide room for a tool that inserts into the alternator shaft during a belt R&R. Also, I'm reassmbling the front body work after having the bumper cover repainted and loosened the trunk latch in the process.

In both cases I'm trying to perfect alignment and latching but I'm struggling. Does anyone have advise for doing this or shall I grab a six pack and be patient doing the trial and error method?
