I tried for two....... O2B930 & O2BA TT ....... California DMV turned me down for both of the. They said "O2B930" was a look-a-like plate and that "02BA TT" carries “connotations offensive to good taste and decency, or which may be misleading to some of our citizens". The only answer I have is to buy a TT so I won't need such plates.
I had EXHILR8, but everyone thought it meant "accelerate". I did not care for the boy racer conotation of accelerate, not to mention that I don't need any help with people remembering my plate (due to my "spirited" driving habitts), so I let the plate go for the standard issue.
California plate was KK ASPHLT, current iin NC is RENTMUNY. Gets the biggest laugh from followers! I think they think it means that I'm not paying my rent but driving this car instead, which if thats what gets the laugh....so be it.
When I went to pick up my car at the Porsche dealership I was delighted to see they had their friends at DMV pull 'AMRL 993' out of the regular series! I'm still trying to figure out what AMRL should stand for....'A Man Really Loves'? any other good suggestions out there? I really like 0 SUB2TE and NO H2O, good work guys!
Speaking of standard plates. About two years ago I got a set of plates in the mail from Tennessee (I live out of state). When I opened them up it said PMS 247. No kidding. I sent them back and said "Please give me new plates."
I am terrible at reading these plates So I don't get most of them until you guys reveal the answer... Mine is pretty simple as you can see on my avatar
Teenagers think my plate is the code word for marijuana (420). This was new news to me! I just got it randomly...
I like the vanity plates some of you guys have. If Maryland didn't have the PCA plate available, I would definitely have kept my 1K0 1K0 plate from my old Maxima. (Iko Iko is a Grateful Dead song but it was taken ) OR, I would have kept my STLABLU plate from my 88 911 that I sold to get my 993 (Stella Blue, another Grateful Dead song - it was on my Venetian Blue 88 Carrera)
