Chris,

On behalf of old farts everywhere, and we are a mighty group, I take serious offense to your comments. It has costed me a great deal of time to reach my present age, and you should be far more respectful.

I'm nothing close to being an old fart *ducks*, but my girlfriend thinks I'm too young to drive a 993, and that since I own one, I must be going through a mid life crisis already at my tender age. (age not disclosed). =)

I expect this kind of misuse of the forum from the casual users; however, I had a higher expectation from the guys who saw the value in becoming a Rennlister. BTW, much respect to you Steve.

I hear 'ya Terrence! I am getting this 'mid-life crisis' thing a lot from friends and family too and it irritates the crap 'outta me - if I was going through that I would be driving a Lambo!

Steve, you are not alone! Some people are just jealous that they aren't receiving all of that junk mail from numerous "Active Adult Communities"!

Must everything always be blown way out of shape. I tell ya this truely has become the United States of the offended.
Steve, truely sorry if what I wrote offended you....it was not meant like that. If you and the others had read past the "old fart" comment, you would (hopefully) had recognized that the comment was backed up by an explanation of said person. Having said this, if you fall into that type category (one that has no clue what he/she has, just thinks its cool to say you have it), then...well enough said. I suppose this person could be anyone of any age......except for the fact that clearly stated in his and this post is that he is the second "adult" owner. Most people don't feel the need to call themselves "adult" unless they have a fair amount of senoirity to their age. This stereotype is what prompted my comment. It was not directed at "gentlemen" in general. I have great respect for anyone that deserves it. Not knowing you, I would afford it to you until given a reason not to. I would like to believe that your reaction was just a knee jerk after a long day and that all respects are intact on both sides.
I too, although not yet quite hit the top of the hill, have worked hard, put my *** on the line and enjoy all that I have reaped. I would probably, in my young wisdom though do a little better job in my posting of such an expensive item, so as not to look quite a silly as this individual does. But again I had no intensions of offending you or others on this board.....I was hoping we were all a little higher on the totem pole of life and thats why we are here. Are we okay?

Chris,

nononono. I posted mine as a joke. I was looking for those funny icon thingees, but then realized that I was in the "Post Quick Reply" mode, and couldn't use them. I didn't really take offense then, and now I'm really embarrassed. Please don't give it another thought. Old farts may be crusty old buzzards, but we can still laugh at ourselves. Please. No problem. Really. I'll buy you a beer next time you're out here.

Nice looking car though, don't they all look nice?
You would have to take it to a Chevy dealer.

Terrence, I actually live just south in San Jose, but for work and play was all over Milpitas.....its been 13 years since I lived there though and I'm sure its changed. WIsh I had a 993 while I lived out there, all those times going over 17 to Santa Cruz would have been even more fun!

I'm pretty sure it's a good thing I didn't have my 993 back in the day when I would go over 17 to Santa Cruz!
