A 502 Safety Recall - motors convertible top
Received letter today from Porsche regarding replacement of motors for convertible top. Crack in motor gears can cause top to open at high speeds.....1995-98 993 Cabs.
Anyone have this done yet ? or has the top opened at high speed(?).... Booked appointment today pending parts order.....

I just had my 95 cab done by Pioneer Centres here in San Diego CA. It's a 2 - 3 hour job. I recommend calling your dealer and make sure the parts are in stock.

Got my notice today. Will be calling Champion tomorrow. Top needed alignment (bit noisy) anyway, so I'm hoping that the motors will necessitate realignment/tightening/whatever so I don't have to pay for it. I'll tell them I'm trying to save for a SC
