Default Another radio install question...

I was planning on swapping the head units (both Alpine) between my 928 and the 993. I know the chasis for both are compatible as are most of the plugs. What I'm concerned about is the power wire which, right off the bat, I haven't been able to tell if its just a connector or if I'll need to pull any wires apart. If I do, I wondered if theres an easy way to disconnect the battery like on my 928. On that car there's a ground wire right where the toolkit is. Any quick advice on how to do this on the 993 if it becomes necessary?

The harness for Alpine radios hasn't changed in a long time ... it's likely the same connector all the way around. Should be plug and play.

Just pull the negative cable off the battery in the trunk.
