Next Malibu Run.....
#151
With the rains continuing through Tuesday, it could be a while before, run off, mud, gravel, rocks and old dinosaur bones are cleaned up. Next Sunday may be a bit soon. Any thoughts???
I think Christian, who lives in the danger area, should call the ball. If it looks good, I'm in.

So, Christian do you think 02-26-05 is to soon for the next run?

L, it really depends upon how much the next few days dump. From my experience, with all the saturation and slides, it usually takes a good 5-10 days of warm sunny weather to dry up the roads for a fun yet cautious drive, and even then there is still a sludge/run off element in the lower shaded canyons. Topanga is closed again. For me, if we have to watch every other curve or so for slippery run off, there is no fun factor. These canyons endured like 20 inches in some places just a few weeks back. Unfortunately, I think we just have to wait it out. My guess is the 26th is probably too early if rain will be intermittent this week.

Well, to be on the safe side, I would suggest 3-13. That way if we don't have too much rain in the interim, it should be nice and... safe.
The 6th might be okay but I won't be able to make it due to that rescheduling thing.
