Am wondering if anyone has had any luck polishing their fog lenses back to a reasonably clear state. Mine are yellow, and now with new headlight lenses, it really looks bad. Any suggestions?

"Blue Magic" plastic polish that can be found in stores like Wal-Mart and K-Mart will do the job. Other plastic/plexiglas polishes should work just as well. I used Blue Magic to clean the headlights of another vehicle I had that had clouded over. Worked great. They looked new when I was done.

The foglight lenses are glass, so plastic polish may not work.
Adding to the yellowing is the plastic housing inside.
I removed the glass lense and painted the interior silver.
Now matches well with clear side marker lights also.

Actually not as easy as I had hoped it would be. But after adding the clear side markers, fogs stood out. Tried simply cleaning interior, but still yellow.
Used a dremel tool and cut off the outside plastic flange, razor to cut through silicone sealant, and lenses came right off. Cleaned, prepped, painted interior silver. Used GE silicone adhesive to glue glass lenses back on.
Tried to pry off lenses and they are very secure (6k miles so far) even with our horrible Michigan roads (and my '02 5 spokes).
But, I am aware that I may be searching ebay for non-molested fogs if this doesn't hold up!
Did not document process through photos, so if you want more detail please drop me a note.

Jeff,
Thanks. I have a foglight with a cracked lense that I will be using as a guinea pig. Sounds easy enough, though I can see where it could be difficult after I gave my foglight a good looking over a few months ago trying to figure out how to take it apart. Good to know it is possible.
Did you use regular silver paint or a chrome looking paint?
Now... where did I put my dremel???

Tony, Yes I did and although I should have had the entire car resprayed (another 4 grand more!) I love it. Got the windows tinted, replaced the windshield....damn thing looks brand new from the front! Just need to get rid of the fog lenses or something. Plan on giving it its first wash tomorrow, then I'll get some pics on here. Really want to get opinions on having blacked out the twisted web portion of the rims.

I may get shot for this....but to be honest, the look of those duct/lights just doesn't do it for me. Now I dig the splitters! The unfortunate thing is, is that living at the beach, we don't have much in the way of twisties, so the brakes don't get that much of a work out. The car wouldn't have much use for the ducts and why subject the lights to direct abuse from road debris?
