I guess I can make it. I'll probably invite a couple of other guys (996 friends, sorry).

Jay,

Is the car ready? Why do you say hopefully? I might go Friday night, I haven't decided on it yet. I'm taking the day off. I've been kind of lazy and haven't touched the car.

I've also emailed a couple of others about it. I'm sure we can fill up Hans' place once they learn it's catered by Hooters...............

Yeah, nothing beats Hooters & Porsches

The car is basically done but when I put gas in the other night, it started leaking from the fuel gauge sender up on top of the tank so now I have to track down that problem. A trunk full of gas is not a good thing & that's what I had once I got the trailer back to the house. Anyway, my plan is to go down Friday afternoon. I'll touch base with you Friday....

Matters how you look at it. For most of us female types, nothing beats Porsches and Pecs!!!

Jay - where are you staying? Motel 6?

I may head out early Friday as well but no reservations yet. Michelle is overseas on bidness so I'm freer than usual. Just please, please can we go eat somewhere besides Hooters this time!!!

Guys, if I can get my stuff (you know what I mean) together early, do you two want to do some sessions on Friday? I think the last session is around 5pm. Oh yeah, I’m also at the 6. If fine dining is what you want, we could always go to The Keg.

Sorry for the off topic Jonathan. But, you can on count me plus four for the gathering.

George,

6 it is. A warmup is tempting. I could probably break away around noon and be there by ~2pm.

Let me know.

Hey Jonathan,

Also sorry for the hijack. On the other hand it's kind of related because RUF is sponsoring the MAV DE later in February at the same track!

No worries guys on the hijacking.... and yes, I know that RUF is sponsoring the local PCA DE in Feb.

In terms of count = we are up to 20+ Porsches coming to the event. I tried my best to post on all the right boards so we expect great turnout. So far, everything from 930 to 996 GT3 has responded that they will be in attendance... nice!

How about 19+ Porsches and 1 GMC Sierra Porsche?

Since my 993 has been sold, the '55 is a race/show car and the '65 isn't the best winter driver, can we still come even if we'll only be in a lowly truck??

Can you guys suggest a nice hotel somewhere near RUF? We normally stay at the Westin Stonebrier, but we are always game to trying out new places. Most of the homes we are driving down to see are in the McKinney, Frisco, Colony and Plano area.......
