Post This weekend's Lone Star DE @ TWS

Was a wonderful weekend! We finally got some payback for all those rainy weekends - stunning weather, the run groups went out like clockwork, no bent metal (that I know of, anyway!), everything was great.

Get this -- one of the instructors didn't want to use his recently acquired 996 turbo as a track car. So he went looking earlier this year for a dedicated track car, and this weekend it was finally in the house & ready to run: the Racer's Group Le Mans-winning GT3RS! I didn't think to fight the crowd for a ride this weekend <img src="graemlins/c.gif" border="0" alt="[ouch]" /> -- hopefully in February. I did have the privilege of being blown into the weeds as it went by me on the front straightaway, though

Ahhhh..........why oh why you have to rub this!!!
I flew into Houston last night and I could not help but thinking of the incredible cool and clear weather...If only I had tires I would have come even for today...

At least I got to drive my baby as I had major major withdrawls...Top down and just the smell and sound of the flat six...ahhh Yes there is NO substitute!

See you guys at TWS in February! Cant wait!

Hi Robert,
Unfortunately I couldn't make it out either. Although it would have probably helped me get my mind off things better than the parties in Austin. Do either of you guys know a good shop to repair curb rash on rims? The carnage from the previous owner is finally starting to irritate me.

When he fired it up, the crazy yellow hued lights came on -- I was like a deer in headlights. One very cool car.

When the discount tire on 59 near Buffalo Speedway scarred up a wheel on my car, they had it refinished locally, but I don't have the outfit's name. You could either call them & ask, or try asking Phil Lightfoot at European Cars (on Feagan St) - Phil would definitely know.
