Hi Kim

Not come across the locking problem you describe however you should be able to arm the alarm system by performing three locking actions in rapid succession with the key. The door LED's will then double flash to indicate the alarm is activated. I assume you have checked all the usual contact points including glove box and stereo?

All the best.

Kim,

I just experienced a problem with my security system last week. The symptoms were not the same as yours, but it was related to one of the wire connections to the control unit. The control unit is found under the passenger seat. It is the little box closest to the center of the car.

The connection was just re-crimpted and now the alarm is working fine.

Since you were hearing some noise from under the passenger seat, I would recommend removing the seat and taking a look.

Good Luck,

Skip
