Post Cab Hardtop

I ran across a Strosek hardtop that has been for sale for years - I remember seeing it on ebay several years ago - anyway, it is sitting out in CA in a crate and can be had for 2K. I would offer less. I heard that Porsche commissioned it and bought from Strosek for 6K and it was offered as an option for 9K. Since Porsche knew they were changing body styles, and since the thing was rather hard to deal with (not to mention getting our cab tops OFF the car) they were not real popular. I was toying with the idea of getting it but instead just bought a coupe. If any one is interested let me know and I will get you numbers. It just needs to be painted to match so I'm told, and it might be kind of neat to have. I would post name and number here but don't know if I'm allowed. BTW, I would be interested in some kind of speedster hardtop if I could find one, then I would take my cab top off.

I'd love to see a picture of one installed on a vehicle. I can't imagine having to remove the cabriolet top to install the hard top. Definitely a job for an expert... And costly too, I'd imagine.

I've seen a few articles in mags featuring 993s that have had Speedster windshields installed. It appears that the 964 windshield is similar enough to the 993s to make this swap doable.

FYI Cargraphic makes a hardtop for the '94 Speedster....IMHO looks very nice, esp on the black car they have in the catelog (it looks like a meancing black cockaroach - this is a compliment ). I'm sure it's pretty pricey!

I saw one for sale in Panaroma. Was that yours? I believe the color was silver.
