I always thought, although not having driven a '95 can't confirm, that you wouldn't get the annoying night time brakelight reflection in the rear window.

Is this true?

I have a basket handle and have no night time reflection in my rear window.

Hey - don't forget us Targa Folks! We have the basket handles too. And I really like it! In fact people often complement that design feature.

Thanks for the poll.

Hey jdoc. I was wondering if you planned on doing any mods to that totally stock car of yours?
It took 5 minutes to complete the list. NICE
Add Euro Turbo swaybars, and LWF/RS clutch coming in the next month and Supercharger soon!

Default basket handle

i hated it when I got my car....thought it looked ridiculous as a necessary USA legal mod....and imagined replacing it would be my first project...

never have replaced it....now I seem to hardly mind it as I never notice it from the drivers seat

it also now means I have obd1....only one oxygen sensor....no engine light illuminated and able to pass state inspection

I'm still in love with it. The 964 3rd brake light was so anoying I thought I'd try the "handle" on it back when. I couldn't figure out how to get the black mask etch off the rear window so I never upgraded. Now, the handle reprtesents my "new" car. On the other hand, I do miss seeing the spoiler come up since the handle kind of blocks the view.
Bottom line..it's presence says I own the "one".

You forgot a choice, dummy!!!!

"I have a basket handle and while I don't exactly like it, I'm not screwing up the car by trying to switch to the later rear window mount style."

How about "I'm indifferent about it"?

As Cooz pointed out, I'll rather have
1. basket handle + OBD I
rather than:
2. no basket handle + OBD II + immobilizer + weaker door strap check

I think it looks fine on a Cab, which I have. Doesn't really bother me on the coupes, either. If I had a coupe I wouldn't prefer it, but I wouldn't remove it.

While the 1996+ may be weaker, my 1995 door check strap has started to shift over the past few days. The PO must have been rough on it. Oh well... I've got something to use my TIG welder for!
