How to reassemble handbrake? What's this wire?
I guess I pulled a bozo move when I removed the handbrake tray and saw this loose wire. Trying to determine what it's hooked up to, I ended up disassembling the handbrake lever, and now I have no idea how it goes back together. Can anyone tell me what this wire hooks up to? It doesn't seem to attach to that copper strip sticking out of the handbrake, which I also don't understand. I can't figure out how pulling the handbrake causes the e-brake warning light to come on. Is that copper strip supposed to rest against that adjustable plastic piece behind it?

Thats the trigger wire for the 550hp NOS powershot fogger system the PO had on the car while he drag raced it
Since its insulated, may be a switched power, not sure what for. Check and see if you ebrake light is working with it disconnected. Show's you how much of a help I am..

Nope, the light is definitely not working, although I don't know if it's because this wire is disconnected or because I bent up the copper strip thingy that probably does something.

Eric,
The wire should connect to the plastic part from below. The copper piece acts like a spring and rides along the surface that is scratched up in your photo.
It looks like this installed:

Aha! Thanks a ton Yuji! So it looks like there's a piece of copper strip in the middle of that plastic block, and the wire connector must be connected to the bottom of that strip. Thus, when the brake is down, the copper strip on the handbrake is in contact with the copper strip in the plastic block. My plastic block doesn't have that copper strip in it, which explains my confusion. Well, fortunately, the part number is printed pretty clearly on the part!
