Post Who has had the recall completed? I'm going in for mine tomorrow...advice?

I downloaded the information EJ has been so kind to post, but curious as to people's experiences thus far, anything they had to warn shop about, etc.

Thanks in advance for your help. <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />

I had mine done. There were two loose connectors on the left side of the engine, down low. My dealer said this is normal as the part fits different years. Yours is a 95 as well, so you might ask, for your benefit and mine, if there are loose connectors and , if so, are they covered up somehow. Just a thought.

Funny part is this: the reason there are so many different part numbers for existing cars as outlined in the TSB is because each year car (coupe, cab, targa, turbo) had a different harness installed. Now it seems they have one harness for all non turbos and a different harness for turbos. So they are replacing 8 or 9 harnesses with two. I would imagine this is the reason there are extra connectors on some cars.

I verified this with my service manager on the phone a few days ago.

Mine was the first one done in NA under the recall. It fixed my AC, Oil pressure gauge, and starter run-on problems. Fortunately the DSM was there so they had no problems.

Took them about a day. Had my 30K done while my 96 993 was there. Couldn't be happier.

What kind of oil pressure problems you had?

I'm taking my car in today and I asked them to install oil pressure sender also, since it's easy with intake removed), my pressure gauge usually reads little less than 5 (when driving) and suddenly jump to 'normal' readings, 5 or little over.
