Default Where to buy Dansk Oval Tips???? Show me your tips.

All:

I've seen a few members with Dansk oval tips on their 993, in particular a few in the UK. Does anyone know where I can purchase the oval tips?? Performance Product sells them but wanted to find other vendors in the US or UK who might have them. Any leads would be great.

Edit: Please post pics of your oval tips, looking for OEM vs Fabspeed vs Dansk vs any others that are out there.

Thanks,

here is a website for you:

http://www.gprparts.com/brands/dansk/index.asp

have you looked at Fabspeed tips? Great quality and pricing on their tips IMHO.

Alex:

I've looked at the fabspeed website, apparently their oval tips do not fit a widebody car "S". Their tips are made for narrow body and Turbo cars. The "S" cars have an offset to the tips.

Thanks,

Wow! Didn't know that Don. Thanks for the info. Try the website I posted for you. They supply all Dansk products.

Don, Have you actually seen these tips in person? I was wondering what they looked like on a car.Quality/Apperance. Do you have any pics, cause the price seems pretty good.

Darin:

I haven't seen the Dansk tips in person, only from pics members have posted in the past. I have the Performance Product catalog and they are shown there. Since you have a narrow body car, I would consider the fabspeed tips. I think the pic Alex posted shows Fabspeed tips. Search Dansk Tips for pics.

Don, The Fabspeed tips are nice, but I don't like the way they taper. I prefer the "can" look of the wide ovals. The problem is the price. I've already cut apart my mufflers, and modified them, so maybe I'll have to fabricate my own tips.

Hmm, maybe members can post pics of their tips????? Be nice to see close up shots of OEM Ovals, Fabspeed Ovals, Dansk Ovals, and any other's I've missed.

I had the FVD tips in my prior 993. They have a shape similar to that of the OEM tips but the lip is rolled, unlike the OEMs, plus they rust on the inside.

These are the OEM large ovals. I think it's a toss up between these and the Fabspeed tips

While I have only finished one side, here are some pics of the drivers side 'bigger oval' tips.

I really like how OEM large ovals are flush with the bumper cover.

Does anyone know if these are the correct oval tips for an "S" car? They are listed in the classified section but I seem to have a different part number for an "S" car.

Actually, the large ovals don't normally sit perfectly flush with the rear bumper like mine seem to. They normally will stick out a bit but not as much as the Fabspeeds. Mine are flush because my NB has tips that were meant for a Turbo. The part number for the Turbo tips is EP6110 whereas the NB tips are EP5110. I liked the way the turbo tips sat flush as well which is why I got them.
