What was the breakdown of the types of cars there? Where there any non-993's there by the way?

It was mostly 993's. There was one lone 996 C4s and two 930's.

Well, we all agree that this should happen more often. I would suggest that we make this an official BAR (Bay Area Rennlisters) event. This last drive occurred on the last Sunday of April. How about we plan on meeting between 7-7:45 on the last Sunday of every month. This will at least get us started with some regularity. If this happened to conflict with any PCA events/DE/track days etc..we can move the date, or not. We do not always need 25+ cars!

Who knows, when the powers-that-be sit down to plan their calendars for the 2004 PCA events, they may in fact steer clear of the last Sunday of the month to ensure the BAR is not affected! A man can dream, right?

Also, we can work on a different meeting places to help cater to those from the East, South and North bay...all we really need are good driving roads!

-Thanks for the Pics Pin...
-Thanks for the Donuts Bill...
-And to John Hua, the 'lone' 996 driver, SHEEZ!!!! I could not shake you!!!! Having a 996, with an aggressive spoiler filling you rear view mirror at 100mph in the twisties sure gets the blood pumping!
- Bill...we missed you...Hopefully you found some nice roads as well!
- Nelson, watch out for opposing 'soft' shoulders on 90 degree turns...

Well, as my wife just pointed out, the last Sunday of May is 25th, Memorial day weekend. I will not be in town, and I am sure some others may be out as well. There is no need to cancel for this reason.

I would be helpful if someone would preview the Calendar of local events and pick a Sat or Sun that works for BAR drives. If anyone has a contact at PCA, we may even be able to add this to the GGR Calendar...

John, I was typing my reply when you hit submit.

I can assure you that my speed reflects the Car, NOT the driver. Two turbos will make anyone fast...

See ya

Hi Guys,

My wife and I were looking through the nice pictures you guys took...and stopped at this one.

<a href="http://hobbystage.net/porsche/media.cgi?site=suwipin&folder=*&id=1051486147-005506" target="_blank">picture with dog</a>

Is the owner of the little white dog in the picture one of you guys that met up? If any of you guys know what type of breed the dog is, would you kindly send me an email or pm me, or posting a reply to this thread?

Thanks

-Huey

Hi Huey,

I believe the owner of that cute little dog is <a href="http://forums.rennlist.com/cgi-bin/rennforums/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_profile;u=00001957" target="_blank">Tom W</a>

We were actually wondering if the dogs got car-sick due to the twisty roads hehehe

Anthony,

I will watch out! That super sharp hairpin on 236 close to the park entrance gave me quite a scare. Apologizes to Jim and Eric behind me, I'm sure they didn't want to be behind me for the rest of the drive.

Nelson-

I was concentrating so hard on the road that I didn't even notice you had slid. You can't rest on that road. You must've got it back real quick.

Anthony-

I don't know how you could radio messages back to us when driving on 236. I had my hands full. Maybe you could give me some driving lessons....

There were two dogs - our "kids". They are West Highland White terriers (aka "Westies"). They enjoy going for rides with us and no, they do not get car sick in spite of the way we drive on these events. I fill the rear footwells with towels and then tuck their blankets around the seat edges so that when they lay down they can rest comfortably and not slide around when we take tight turns.

If you want more details, send me an email.

Eric-
I would recommend the opposite...BECAUSE I was on my radio on 236 should be a warning flag that I should not give driving lessons...see ya!

And Tom...my apologies for thanking Bill for the Donuts...I just realized my mistake.

So, an offical thank you for bringing the Donuts.
