I talked to Mike yesterday about the hoses/duct work into the wheel well for brake cooling like the set TechArt does. He has the hoses and other parts which he copied from TechArt for $150. So, for $450, you can get what TechArt and FVD sell for $895..... I'm in!

That's what I did. I emailed him, but calling him would work, too. He is such a nice guy to talk to and deal with.

do we really want the brake cooling hoses?? They require drilling thru the fender wall.
Also, unless you are doing really heavy braking, is it not better to route the extra air to the oilcooler instead of the brakes?

If Kelly can't resist...neither can I. What's the recommendation on getting them color matched?

That's what VB told me when I asked about the benefits of the ducts. I have the Cartgraphics auxillary oil cooler and it would help that also.

Good Morning,

Is this group buy still available as I am getting my front bumper repainted it is a perfect time. I noticed that some people feel it is good to provide more air to the oil cooler, some people seem to get the ducts to cool the brakes. For some track time but mostly street what is the better call. Any for example last year at the Road America DE brakes can get hot. Any thoughts?

JRGordon,
Does this include the brake baking plates and ducting hoses?? The website isn't very clear on this. Did you sell your 993 Cab Das Roll bar??

Thanks,
Mike

No. Just the ducts with lights attached.

I don't know if it's still available, call Mike. IMHO, if you're not tracking the car a lot I would find the additional oil cooling to be more valuable. Brakes are reasonably cheap compared to engines....

Mr. Hude I sold the roll bar.

MBorkow absolutely have it color matched. I had a local paint/body shop do mine and it came out great.

Which of you fine gentlemen will be eliminating bumperettes in this mod and therefore be able to sell me your bumperette brackets? I just pulled my bumper for a repaint and the bumperette bracket studs had enough corrosion to require replacement.

Thanks in advance!

Scott

Follow the post on p-car.com for setting up the ducts but don't run the hose all the way to the front of the car. Just run it from the plate to the rotor area.
