Default South Florida HID DIY Install

Ok, so if the West Coast guys can do it....I'll be the first to order and be the guinea pig for the first install. Can we get some other guys in S. Florida together to do an install? I can't offer my house because it's under renovation but I'll buy the "refreshments."

Peter-

I was reading this post and am also very interested in this upgrade. With all of the "BLUEHAIRS" around here I would love increased visibility at night.

I'm in to do this with you. My house and garage are available. The only problem is that I don't have a workbench.

PBenz-

Mike (lowblow) and I are in Boca Raton.

Mike-

From all that I've read, I don't think the workbench is an issue. Let's get a couple more people and set a date at your place. Again, I'll bring the refreshments!

Peter-

Sounds like a plan. Did you order the light kit yet?. If so, which one did you go with?.

Mike-

Not sure if you saw this thread but it's a good read.

I think I'm going to go with the xequipped product. I called the guy this morning and inquired as to a group discount. He is checking and calling me back.

Default check bylaws

Peter if you had bothered to check the bylaws you would clearly see that this thread once started for West coast can then not be started anywhere else, think Amway in the 80's, you are downline from us.

No I'm kidding but I haven't yet bought the kit can you tell me what you know about which kit is best and what group discounts are available when you know please? I'll check the HID threads previous, I've been too busy lately.

Pedro-

I've read threads on the subject until I was NAUSEOUS!!

Seems that there are a few schools of thought on the subject.

Mike, I know, it's a bit much to take in all at once

DJF1, the guy said he's had so many purchased (H1, 4300) that he's out of stock right now. He's ordering more and they'll be in in a week or so. So, I'm not sure exactly when we'll do but would love you to get in on it.

Midnight, read the threads and, as Mike said, you'll probably be more confused. From all that I've read and discussed, it seems like the xequipped is the best light for the dollar. And it's gotten even better....

I've just negotiated a group price discount of $255 if we can get to 5 sets. it will cost $20 to ship all to one location so that's $259/set shipped. I'm in. Mike? Come on guys.

Pedro-

Good job. I'm sure you'll be able to get 5 listers to buy. Did you check on a discount for 10?

You will love the lights after you install them. They were exactly what I was looking for to improve the poor lighting of my car. I'll try to put something together from the install of this kit I did a few weeks ago and post later this week.

Would you guys consider relocating to the west coast of FL before doing the install? <LOL>

But seriously, Boca's a bit of a hike from Sarasota - I probably won't make it over there but I might be interested in purchasing a set. I just need to read through the threads again and see if this is something I want to do. I'll get back to you later today. Thanks for arranging this, Pedro!
