M233 code?
Anyone know what the 233 option code is? I was carefully re-reading the codes listed on my option sticker ("ordinary" '96 coupe). I've been to Robin's (awesome) P-car site, but didn't see it listed. There certainly doesn't seem to be anything else on the car that's an "option" (or missing...unless it was the M233 - Windshield Squeak, Weird-Noise-From-The-Rear Delete Option?)
Thanks,
Thanks,

From the 933 FAQ site:
M233 Unlisted code. Seems to be on most US delivered 993's. Probably part of "standard" American package (sunroof, AC, etc. These were optional outside the US.)

Thanks Kevin - I'm guessing that yours has the same code as well? I know it's minutae, but fun to track these things down nonetheless. There seems to be separate codes for a lot of stuff (and I was able to find every one except that one). Thought that someone out there might have the "definitive" word on it & just hadn't 'fessed up. Hope your Christmas was Merry and the New Year great.

Mine has it, and just about every '96 coupe I looked at had it as well. I remember that I posted a question about it to the board back in May or June, and no one had an answer (and I got a couple of emails from people asking me to pass the answer on to them when I found something out). It wasn't until recently that I saw the above entry at the 993 FAQ sit at haphazard.com. So I'd just consider 233 as a nothing code, at least nothing to worry or get excited about.
Happy holidays to you and yours.

Kevin & SB,
Thanks much for the answers. A nothing code is probably the closest answer (if I had to guess thus far though, I'd say standard outfitting for '96 white coupes )
Since you're both "local", check out Jeff's 17 mile drive pics - I'd link, but I don't know how. I'd have followed if I'd known...
Regards,

Sorry this is late but i've just done a search for m233!
I don't think its a US thing - my UK 1995 993 has option M233 - spec is with sunroof and aircon.
Dont know what it is!
While on the topic - does anyone know what M718 is or what C16 is?
Also, the series of numbers above the colour code - M6405-63R-G5021-10. What does this mean!
Thanks
AJit.

Hi Ajit,
re:
'Also, the series of numbers above the colour code - M6405-63R-G5021-10. What does this mean'
These refer to your engine code and gearbox code.

Tito
