Split rear grille on all 4S 993s?

A recent thread established that 4S (or was it just S) 993 had the split rear grille.

How come this one does not?

Your picture did not post correctly, so I can't speak to your concern. However, it was only the C2S that had the "split grill".

Is this the picture you were trying to post? Like Tom said the split grill came only on C2S cars not on the C4S cars, but you can order the parts and install them on your own if you like the look.
