Post Floor mat question

Does anyone know where to buy replacement floor mats with two mounting holes instead of one? I was just informed that Lloyds no longer makes the two hole version.

Dave,

I purchased replacement factory mats (front only) from Phil Anderson at Suncoast Porsche 877-923-1700 or panderson@automaxplus.com . My system involves two mats in the driver's footwell and two mats in the passenger's footwell. Each of the two mats on each side has a hole near the base to accept a black plastic "bolt" that mates to the screw in the floorpan.

I'm not sure if this is the system you're referencing (you know, one hole in each mat equals two total). If not, I apologize. However, you might ask Phil since there were at least two different types of factory replacement mat systems for my car. He is typically very helpful.

Good luck.

Anir,

My mats have two holes each, located near the corners at the base. The holes are oval, not round like the holes found in later models. There is a locking mechanisim attached to the floor under each hole. The mechanisim sticks up through the hole, and has a wing-nut like top section that you twist 90 degrees to lock the mat in place. It is a very sturdy unit. I believe the newer models have a plastic nut that goes down through the hole and screws on to a screw sticking up from the floor board.

The two hole version holds the mat more securely. I'm not sure, but it may have been installed only in Cabriolets.

Dave, my model is indeed the later one you are describing above. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. See if Phil can get the ones you want. He's usually a pretty effective sleuth!

I know this is a lame topic and I hate to use up bandwidth for it but.. I called both Suncoast Porsche and Performance Products today. They both said that floor mats for all 993's have the same part number. They checked Porsche and Lloyds. There is no differentiation for hole pattern.

I've heard from another list member who also has a '95 Cabriolet, but it has the one hole floormat. Does anyone else have the two hole version?? What gives??

Dave,

The two hole mat you describe is what came in my 1993 964, perhaps you have an early 993 (like from 94 or something)?

Try asking for the 964 mat set, maybe that will help?

Best luck

I have a 94' 993/4 and the same 2 holes mats
you described Dave, with the same fixing set up. So it can't be exclusive to cabriolets. I bought the mats last year (Porsche). Don't know if they are still sold....

I believe my '95 was manufactured near the middle of the Aug 94 to July 95 production run, probably around Feb. of 95. The change-over must have happened sometime after that.

My '95 Cab (manufactured in July '95) is the one hole version.
