Default Sorry, another OT: Acura TL

Sorry for another OT post, but my brother is looking to get an 03 Acura TL Type S as a daily driver, anyone here with any experience with them.

Thanks

I would look on www.acura-tl.com for info. These cars had a serious tranny issue that was fixed under a recall and I that was the main negative, IIRC.

Greg is right, check that it was done or still can be done. As a side note, we have 2000 Odyssey that had a bit of a "whine" so I took it in and asked about the recall to see if I was affected. At 70K miles and well OUT of warranty, Honda *replaced* the tranny without even blinking. Now THAT's service! PAG should take a lesson here. I'll always buy Honda or Toyota.

My Honda (Acura) experience has been less than stellar. I just don't like their automatic trannies. My old Accord and my newer TL both had what I would call less than ideal. Co-worker just replaced the tranny in his 2000 Accord and so did another with a 2002 TL.

My friend at work has put 2 Transmissions in his TL, although it is a MY2000. Very boring car too IMHO As the British would say, it is a "repmobile"
