Thanks Anir and everyone else,
This is all great information. I am curious about the service bulletin as I thought that was a type of informal recall. Would that not be taken care of regardless of timeframe?
Also, my vin no is slightly different than those indicated.
WPOCA299 8T S342019 vs
WPOCA299 7S S342592
Wondering what the difference between 8T And 7S means. Thanks as usual for all the help.

Actually your car was produced well after the vin listed - probably about a year later. Your's is a '96 ("T" in the year code space) #3529 v. a '95 ("S" year code).

Dan, you're right...I didn't notice the S code in the Service Bulletin VIN listing. Thanks. I'm still going to look at mine because the sound my car makes fits the symptoms listed for this problem. Happy holidays, Kevin
