Unhappy RS Steering Wheel

I have a 1997 993C4S and have recently changed the standard airbag steering wheel to a Porsche RS Steering wheel but am having trouble finding the correct RS part to make the horn work - can anyone help????

have you checked www.carnewal.com. I am sure if you email Gert, he will have the part you are looking for. May not be practical as the shipping from Europe for such a small part is probably pretty steep but it would be my first step.

BTW, how do you like the feel of the RS wheel? I have been considering changing to that wheel for some time now.

Thanks for that site I'll give it a try I'm in Europe so it will probably be worth it. The RS wheel is a slightly narrower diameter, a thinner rim and personally I feel it gives more feel and feedback back thru the steering.

Thanks for the input about the wheel. Since you're in Europe Gert's site is definitely the way to go. He is very helpful and conscientious. I would be careful though, once you go on the site you will be hooked!!

Are you looking for the slip-ring? #993-347-099-81

I have the brass slip ring that came with the steering wheel, what I am looking for is the contact points to take the power to the slip ring on the steering wheel - I am thinking that maybe they look like some form of sprung loaded carbon bushes. I am failing miserably with my local Porshe Dealers they don't seem to know what I require.

The only other 993RS specific part I can find is the plate for the steering column switch, #964-652-104-00. If you stop by your local dealer have them ATP that part # or look at PET MG-6 SG-03 Illus-903-10 (not the regular steering wheel section in PET).
