Randy,

About 1500/month just to work and back. Then driving to AutoX's, DE's, PCA Club Races all over the Southeast. Giving the 993 a break for the Sebring race. Flying to Orlando then sharing rental down to Sebring. Performance Imports is taking the 924S down for me with the other 4 to 5 cars that are attending the Race and DE.

So, I should have a 5K update on the Pirelli tires by summer time.

I am currently using Pirelli P Zero Rossi . Great comfort and very good in the wet, but do NOT take them to the track.
My favorite tire was the SO2 pole position. But they do not make it any more.
What is the difference between SO2 and S02-A ?
Any recommendations for a dedicated track tire? Michelin Sport cup are on sale... at tire rack

oh geez hawhoo....hopefully you read through this mega-post...i think all your answers are in here... the very common consensus is that the so2-a is a superior tire to the so2 and maybe even so3. The Michelin Pilot Sport Rib is also highly recommended. I ended up putting those tires on my car and so far have been very happy with noise, ride, etc.

I recently picked up a pair of used Speedlines for the track. They have S02's on them already and I decided to drive on these wheels until the tires wear down as I will be switching over to R compounds at that point. The S02s suck. Much easier to break rear tires loose than the Pilot Sports on my street wheels. I would stay away from them.
