993 Aluminum Doors (GT2) value
I am trying to determine the replacement value of a set of aluminum 993 doors off of a GT2. I am considering selling a pair that came with my 993. They are painted Grand Prix White and they are in excellent shape. I am sure that they would be perfect for someone trying to make a GT2 clone, or trying to save some weight on a 993.
Thanks for your input.

Paul, I believe that Hank sold those to Lee sometime back (2-3 yrs). I believe the number was @ 4000$ or more at the time, cant remember if it included the hood or not, but I do not think so.

I was under the impression that the 993RS and the GT2 had the light steel doors and aluminum hood. I bought all 3 from Hank in 2002 and if memory serves me... $1500 doors and $1200 or 1500 for the hood. The doors have no electric, no crash bar, light weight glass, simple RS door panel with strap, about 40# lighter per door.

Bill,
Lee purchased the doors and lightweight glass off of an early 993 GT2 and he assures me that they are indeed aluminum. Chris Cervelli informed me that early 993 GT2's had aluminum doors and later GT2's had carbon fiber doors. The doors are dramatically lighter when you open and close them.
