Sorry to hear that, Bill, but in the long run, it really wasn't meant to be in my opinion. Everything happens for a reason in my book. I'll bet that you do run into that "perfect" car in the next few months and will be glad that this car fell by the wayside. It always works out in the end.

You'll be brimming with excitement all over again when you find the car your supposed to find...

I agree, Steve. Some people think that following such a philosophy is just a way to console yourself. In my case I have ALWAYS been better off. I can relate examples of jobs I have passed on, real estate deals I've lost, etc. where I got under bid or didn't come out on top. In the end I have always been better off than those that got the jobs (the business folded or they were fired) or got the deal (one house had major hidden structural damage and in another one the neighborhood went downhill instead of up).

So, although I'm disappointed the right car will come. There are LOTS of cars out there right now. I'm focusing on '98 "S" cars right now anyway!

I trust your kids had a great morning?

Merry Christmas!

Did you run a carfax report on the car?? Be skeptical of carfax, a friend of mines car has been in two major accidents, the carfax report for his car showed NO accidents.

And many times the # of owners can be incorrect, too ... someone may have moved and registered the car in a new state; it could have been a "company" car initially; or they bought it out on their original lease; or in some states a lienholder may have been added or taken away resulting in a new title # ... etc.

That's bogus. Bill, you'll have a PM shortly; don't know if you've seen this one. But I don't know how you could go from that beautiful turquoise to silver.

That is so true. The only way Carfax gets info on an accident is that State Law requires you to send in a Vehicle Accident Reoort to them for any accident over a certain amount. I have NEVER sent in one of these reports. Therefore, Carfax did not know about the accidents.

What state are you located in? What is the report that is suppose to be submitted? I would assume that if there is a police report that is what gets submitted?

Thanks
