Little "bucking" first 1/4 mile

JorgeP,
How many miles do you have, and have you ever had the plugs/air filter replaced?
You definitely want to address the obvious first, and replacing the plugs and filter are a good start. Definitely check your caps and rotors, but from what I've heard, these are pretty hearty units (though, again, I don't know your milage). I'm not certain whether a bad Oxygen Sensor would create the symptoms you describe, but it really is a critical component in fuel metering, espcially at partial-throttle openings (e.g. cruising at a steady speed and also gently accelerating from that steady speed).
Also, you mention the idle problem which may or may not be related to your acceleration issue, but that can be due to your Idle Stabilization Valve. Do a search for it (or for "ISV") and you'll learn how to either clean it or replace it...this will eliminate one more variable.
Remember that troubleshooting is a greater pain when something is only "partially broke." Patience is a virtue here, as is good advice from knowledgable folk. Take your time and address one part at a time. Hope this helps.
Edward

It looks like this thread is splitting into two - one with my original issue and one with JorgeP's issue. Regarding my issue - I haven't localized it to a rev range as of yet. I tend to baby my baby for the first mile or so (at least until the oil temp comes off the peg) so revs stay under 3000 or so... I was going to try Greg's suggestions of holding the revs around 2500 a few times to "clear the baffles" but I didn't seem to have the problem this morning. Perhaps this points to Edward's idea of a borderline O2 sensor. The car just had its 45,000 mile service, so I'm thinking the distributor caps and such were checked out, but you never know. Hopefully the O2 sensor would be an item covered by the certified pre-owned warranty. I think I'll bring it to the dealer next week and have them check out 1) O2 sensor, 2) Distributor caps, 3) DME relay and see if one of the above solves the issue. I'm getting a nice windshield rattle that I want to get checked out anyway.. I'm assuming this is the infamous 993 issue.
