Post and weight does matter...

i found this really funny. take a peak at <a href="http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=776885" target="_blank">http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=776885</a>

now this article illustrates the importance of weight reduction in performance. This car went from a 0-60 in 8.6 to 5.8 seconds.

That aside it was a hell of a laugh....

Cheers,
Boris

Wow, think of all the money I could've saved in upgrades! All I really needed was a wrench and a sawzall. I'll get to work tonite!

Very Funny..... <img border="0" alt="[hiha]" title="" src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" />

They forgot the mod that is universally known for adding
+200 HP: The power boosting coffee-can-exhaust!

Their next weight reduction stage would probably be:

1. Replacing the outer chassis with cardboard to
reduce 300-400 lb.

2. A midget driver to reduce 150-200 lb.

3. Draining the oil and coolant to reduce 40 lb.

4. Holding the engine in place with duct tape to reduce 35 lb.

5. Filling the tires with explosive hydrogen to reduce 15 lb.

It seemed like a "serious" piece at first until they started removing the body kit and panels. Now I knew it became very funny after that

Pretty good!

And weight does matter.

Like some of old Porsche race cars, i.e. ignition key was drilled, must've saved at least 2 grams...

jeez - they forgot the obvious - how much do the brake rotors / calipers/ drums / master cylinder weigh??? After all, there are trees/barriers at the end of the strip to stop them!
