Default Rear Seat Delete-Question

The PO of my 96 TT removed the rear seatbacks and installed a rollbar. I am keeping the rollbar and have removed the rear seatbelts (one of the tensionors was toast anyway). Question is what can I do about the rear seat bottoms? Is there a replacement carpet piece or kit that will replace/cover the seat bottoms? Does the current carpet run under the seat bottoms?

Hi Dan,
The rear seat bottoms are glued into place but it is possible to remove them with some effort. The carpet runs an inch or two under the edge of the leather pad. I would contact Bob at AppBiz to see if he can sell just those two carpet pieces. Another option would be to go to a local upholstery or stereo shop and see if they can get matching carpet to make these.

If you have black rear seats, do you have interest in selling? PM me if you want.

Cheers, Brad

I just bout a few yards of the factory material for $40 and cut out a perfect fitting replacement. There is a seam that runs all the way around the bucket area so it is easy to fill in and make it look really nice...
