Chris,

Where did you buy it? I went to the local Babies R Us and they didn't have this particular model. Thanks.

Rich-
You can purchase Britax Starriser's on Ebay and other retailers on the web. Good luck.

Doug,

Thanks for the link. I just ordered mine a few minutes ago. My 2-year old has been begging me to take him for a ride in the C4S. Luckily, he's 30 lbs so this seat will work for him for many years.

Jason F- my first ride ever in a Porsche was my neighbors brand new, grand-prix white 993 C2. I was between 6 or 8 at the time and hopped in the back right seat along with two other passengers. Perfect fit... nothing like those deep savannah beige buckets. We traveled about 20 minutes to the nearest BP (nothing but the finest!) for a rootbeer (first one of those too)- one of the best hours in my life. hmmm execept for the ride in a 1967 ferrari 330 GTC....

But anywho, that 993 was used for most every roadtrip that family went on for the ensuing years. With four passengers (husband, wife, 2 boys that were larger than me at the time) space was tight but every bystander was jealous.

Consequently, your kids will have the best time in their lives even though your wife will probably see things differently= women, cant live with them, cant live w/o them...

but hey what does a 16y.o. know? ha

Rich -

I bought mine at a local store. That way if it doesn't work for my daughter I can bring it back. Got their last one for $75. I did some searching around though on the net and there are tons of places that have the seat.

My kids love the 993. Son 11, girls 8,6,and 3. My son didnt want me to get rid of the Boxster and thought the 993 "sucked" but that thought was quickly replaced one day when I took him to school late and all of his buddies stood in line for a ride!

The 11 year old loves it now

The 8 year old has started the Sunday ritual of getting me up on Sunday at 6am to go get doughnuts,

The 6 year old wont ride in it without the wing in the up position...

and the 3 year old has "her" seat in the back denoting her personal space!

and the wife.... she follows behind us in her french fry fast food garbage scow wet swimsuit cluttered SUV....

These cars really are a fun vehicle for a family but the rules of the "ride" are set by me.....

On a down side!!!! Speaking from experience...3 year olds whith new concrete chalk and finely detailed 993's should not be left unattended!

Chalk.... Never thought about that. Better go home fast and make sure there's no pretty flower drawn on the car!

Have a nice Fourth, all.

Woohoo! Now that I have my new Britax Starriser booster seat for my 2-year old, we went on our first family drive this evening in the C4S. My son, Jonathan, was so excited! He's been wanting to go for a drive since I purchased the car two weeks ago. He loves the '86 Carrera, but he REALLY wanted to go for a drive in Daddy's new toy.

there is a new kit due out in Oct 03 that disables the front pass airbag and adds the latch system for infants.

Rich:

After today, maybe the better question is: "How 993-friendly is the kid?"

'Sorry, I couldn't resist. I hope Jonathon is feeling better and you don't spend the better part of the day on your knees cleaning that gorgeous car of yours.

Cheers,
