Default Empty car sound...

I finished removing all the glue from the rear seat area in preparation for the cage install. Lots of work but is is looking good. I took the car out for a spin to make sure everything was working and I could not believe the intense sound of the engine at high RPM's with all the interior and rear engine compartment insultation removed. It is really fantastic! I cannot wait to get it to a track where I can stay at high RPM's for an extended period of time. You can really here the motor better than ever. I would not recommend this for everyone for obvious reasons, but for me this brings a whole new dimension and level of enjoyment. I will post pics later this week of the empty interior (though Rich and Clive saw it yesterday when it sitll has glue and stuff in the rear).

Hey Kary!

Was good to meet ya Saturday.

Had a blast driving home (no cops on the 15 Northbound )

Not put the trim in yet... but looks like new.

You have a nice toy... It looked awesome - shame I missed the ride

Cheers,

Clive.

Yep, welcome!

Aall the mechanical noise is awesome!

I don't have any insulation (inside or out) or carpet back there. Although I will have RS carpets later (this is a street car) but I'm not sure whether I want the carpet back there because the noise will be toned down...

Well I have about 25 hours in cleaning out the glue from the door running boards and the rear seats. I have not done the center tunnel yet. That will come after the roll cage gets installed tomorrow. So Boris, I would be happy to do yours, at $100 per hour and an additional 8 hours for the tunnel your bill would only be $3400. Not bad considering the level of effort involved. Let me know when you want it done

My hands are just starting to recover! I weighed the rubber glue I took out and it was just about 1.5 ponds. Not a lot of weight but 4 or 5 baseball size balss is a lot of glue for such a small area!

Kary: What class will you be running for POC in '05? Looks like I'll be doing at least a couple Time Trials with POC this year (in Kp).

Tom, I have been running in V2 this year due to the leading edge wing. The weight reduction will really help me in that class since it is a fairly open class. Hope to see you out there this year. what events are you planning on attending? Tribute will be a great event at California Speedway!
