Default PPI Recommendation in Allentown, PA

The search continues and another target is in my sights!

Can anyone suggest a good shop to PPI in ALlentown PA or nearby? Search wasn't effective, I appreciate the help.

Also, current owner has been the owner since 95 but hasn't used the dealer at all...says he has used "Phil's Automotive" in Vera Cruz PA. Any opinions on that shop?

Thanks all!

John

Default Allentown PPI

Right in Allentown .....

Specialty Cars (Owner/Chief Wrench Mark Burkit)
804 N.Gilmore Street
Allentown, PA 18103

610-437-9333

Ask for Dave when you call.

They are outstanding.

There is also a Solo II nationally competitive 911 that runs out of this shop. You could not go wrong going here.

Thanks KAS. A few people have suggested Holt, but I'm kind of thinking they'd have a little bit of a conflict of interest since if I don't but the car I bring in I'm still a potential buyer for their (nice but expensive!) inventory.

THanks all!

Well, I just spoke with Dave at Specialty, he really is a nice guy, can't do a PPI until next week though as they're cleaning out the shop for a x-mas party. He did refer me to Phil's, and put in some good words for him. I don't know if "vouch" is too strong, but there was clearly some professional respect there.

I called Phil and he stated the car has been very well maintained and of course he stands by his work, but he preferred not to do a PPI since he considers the owner to be his primary client (and I agree!) He was clearly a P-car nut and a very nice guy on the phone. He knows the car intimately, including the name of the original owner (who is still a customer). His recall lined up with what the owner represents. Said the car "hadn't been cleaned up" or detailed, but that everything mechanical on the car was well maintained and functioning properly.

Any other suggested shops in Allentown PA area?

Thanks!
