Default 993 rs engine - hydraulic tappets?

i have a 993 carrera 2 with a factory fitted x51 option rs 3.8 engine

does this engine have hydraulic tappets? and if so has anyone had to replace any? sounds like my car has a failing tappet

the car is still under warranty 'car care plan' in the uk - anyone know if this sort of work is covered by such a warranty?

thanks

marc

yes RS engine does have hydraulic tappets, about £20 each plus labour,
I thought I had one clacking, but the noise turned out to be an HT lead arcing,,,so make sure it is the tappet before you proceed.
