I picked up some Bilsteins at Hershey that I was told were for a 944...however after calling Bilstein I found out they were for "993 cup"
What exactly is 993 cup suspension? The shock I have is a coilover with a lower spring perch for a 2.25" ID spring if that helps and the total length of the shock is ~21 inches.
Does anybody have a picture of the front of a 993 cup suspension? Could it be possible that this shock will work on both a 944 and 993?
Could Bilstein have been wrong?
Thanks in advance,
Adrial

Adrial:
I will send you a pic of my recently sold 993 Cup shocks. They were Green Bilsteins and were short due to the low Cup/RSR ridehright. I see no way they could work on a 951.

Well, since we're in the public domain now:
I sold the shocks for $1,400. They had seen very light track use. The twin-stacked Eibach springs that went with them were 600 lbs. F & 700 lbs. R, although some guys run 700/800. The Bilsteins are designed to accept very stiff springs-- 1,000-1,400 is not uncommon on an all-out race car. Very sturdy shocks. The yellows are sold by The Racers Group as RSR struts. The used to sell them with blue Faulkner springs. These shocks can be easily revalved and tuned by someone who knows wht they're doing for a little more compliance on the street.
