997s like 993s ....and that bothers some folks

The 993 is the best looking Porsche ever made. If they make a better looking one, I will be very interested--water cooled or not. As a buyer though I would have to wait until some used ones come on the market cause I ain't that rich.

after reading about the benefits of dry sump engines, it would be nice to see it on the watercooled 3.6litre engine. would free up more power, too, sounds like.
the only 996 that i like the looks of is the C4S. the turbo has some extra vents that i could live without and look out of place on the otherwise exercise in slabs and restraint.
i don't know who that salesperson talks to, but i have never spoken to anyone in my life that likes the 996 preferable to the 993. ever. dynamically is another matter altogether.
if i don't make friends saying the "base" 996 looks like the 986 then facts must lie. they do share a high percentage of front end parts. thusly, they look very similar. wow. imagine that.
