I recieved a recall notice in the mail yesterday. My car was a 9/94 build (321766). Also included in the package was a "Customer Reimbursement Application" to fill out if you previously paid to have your harness replaced. It still requires you to get inspected but it appears that Porsche will be giving at least partial re-imbursement to those who have taken care of the problem themselves.

I got notification in the mail today from PCNA that my car is covered (manufactured 3/95). There is also a form to get reimbursed if you have already had the work done but it looks like the reimbursment is contingent on the work having been done at a dealer.

There is a section of the form that asks if the work was done at an "Independent Repair Facility" so I assume that they will reimburse for work done at non-dealer shops.
