My new '96 has a problem with the reverse lights going out when the engine cooling fan turns on. When the fan turns off the reverse lights come back on. Fiddling with the switch at the tranny causes the reverse lights to cut out and the fan to come on. Very strange....The wiring harness recall was performed 2 yrs ago according to the dealer but was done for the previous owner. The dealer didn't seem like they would do another good will replacement and are suggesting about a $1500 bill to re-do the job. Any suggestions on how to track down the short or to deal with this?
