Default Bay area body shop recommendations

I took out a guard-rail this evening on my way home.

Anyone have a good recommendation for a body shop here in the bay area? I'm in Berkeley, CA.

Thanks.

emc in fremont is pretty good.
cooks colision in walnut creek does lots of jags and porsches.
bodystyle in san jose did my 993, very nice, but 3x more expensive the any other shop i got estimate from. however, recently i have heard their qty has dropped.

I've had good results with Barsottis in San Rafael. Whitman's (also in San Rafael) is known for top quality work as well.

Sorry to hear about your mishap.

You might want to check with Chris at Bauer Porsche in Oakland. They've been around for a long time and may have some suggestions on a good body shop.

I've also heard about Body Styles and Del's Porsche Body Shop, both in San Jose but don't really have any experience with either of them (knock on wood)...

Cheers and good luck with your search,

barsotti's is good, but the best I've seen from a knowledge standpoint has been Whitman's AutoBody in San Rafael. I really wish I had taken my car there. I used them to clean up the residual mess of the place I took it. I found out about Whitmans from this board AFTER my accident. They did the Rhumba project featured in a magazine awhile back, and do the Racer's Group painting and such. Ask for Craig. Really great work that I saw, and their lot is filled with Porsches. It is also right around the corner from S Car Go, so a worthwhile stroll.
