Turbo Twist Hollow Spoke?
I bought a set of "hollow spokes" from a guy who advertised them on PCA's mart. I met him today and completed the sale but I thought "hollow spoke" had sort of a concave back. While cast I thought the back was idented and that was where the weight savings came from. Was I wrong or did I just buy a nice set of Turbo Look wheels? I'm reasonably happy either way but preferred the lighter weight wheel and would have worked out a different price if that wasn't what I was getting.

i like a story with a happy ending
... the rears are the proper offset, right??
You would want the 65mm offset wheels for your cab. (if that is where they are going)

Seller wasn't sure of the offset, but just bought them new for his 993 nb, so I felt confident they were right. He put a little under a 1,000 miles on this set before selling his car. I dropped the wheels off on my way home to have them balanced and didn't note the part numbers (other than they are there and start with 993 as I recall) or offset. I'm usually more of the informed consumer type, but I sort of ran across this deal, and went for it. Frankly, I figured as long as they were hollow spokes I could always get my money back out if there were any issues.

I've got to second Max's comment. Thanks! Since there is only one offset for the fronts, I assume I'm fine there. I'll run this down as soon as I get the wheels.

Well, my part numbers seem a little different than what was listed. I checked the right hand side before mounting today and the front was part number 993 362 134 05 size 7.5x18-ET50 and the rear had this dual thing 993 362 138 00"B" and 993 362 140 01 "A" on the spoke with size listed as 9Jx18xET52"B" 10Jx18xET65 "A". It was pretty cloudy out so I guess I could have misread something but I doubt it. They seem to fit okay and I had no issues driving today but this isn't what I expected to see based on Max's info. So I'm happy but wondering.

The 7.5 width wheels were originally a Boxster front fitment. (i noted the 7.5 and 9 inch Boxster wheels on the twist page, but wasn't sure of part numbers and weights)
The 10 inch rear 993 362 140 01 et65 is the hollow spoke, narrow body rear.
I wasn't able to find the 9 inch rear-- number 993 362 138 00 et 52 wheel. Sure sounds like a Boxster rear to me. If the first three numbers are actually '996' instead of '993' , that would denote the 9x18 Boxster rear fitment according to the PET.

Good info, but I'm still confused. Why are there two sizes and two part numbers on the rear wheels, with this "A" and "B" - what does it mean? Anyone familiar with this? These came off a '96 C4, but were not the original wheels.

Hi Joe,
I have seen the same on a set of narrow body hollow technology wheels that came off a 996. I assumed since these wheels are 2 parts that are friction welded together that Porsche made one common center section for both the 9 and 10" wide wheels. When they friction weld the center half to the outer half they locate it to get the right offset. Cost savings item! So that's why I think you have both numbers list and the same wheel.

Well, that's the best answer so far! In any event, they seem to fit great and I like the look and the difference in the feel. Another successful modification
