Question 993 dash switch what is it?

Will someone tell me what switch/control is intended for the vertical rectangular area with indentation immediately to the right of the headlight switch on the dash of 993 cars? I have noticed in the brochure from 1996 a photograph of the dash from a Euro spec car and there is a switch/control, but I can't determine what its purpose is. My endless quest to convert my 993 C4 from US to Euro Spec!

no, the rear fog light switch is just next to the front fog light switch...I have had it installed and it is great, DIY instructions on p-car.com

I put a right oil cooler fan switch there for the right front oil cooler. I ghardly use it anymore since installing the other oil cooler on the left side, but it looks good there and is just below the oil gauges :-)

In my '94 cab it is a 3 position switch which adjusts the height of the headlight beam to compensate for additional weight in the car. It is labeled: +1, 0, -1. Do a search...there was a Rennlister a few mos ago who was looking to install this switch into his US spec car...not sure if he actually got it done.

I think that may be where the manual leveling control is situated for the Euro cars with Litronics. As I understand, euro cars with Litronics are required by the TUV to have some sort of leveling feature,(auto or manual) so I suspect this is where the control switch for manual leveling would go?

David in LA is dead right, that is exactly what is is on my UK 1995 993 Carrera.

Switch for adjusting the height of the lights. Not just for Litronics as I have standard lights

Anyone have any creative ideas of what to install in this space for an additional mod?
