Great improvement - red needles, red highlights and carbon - but refined - the wheel is a massive improvement - 3 spokes is much sportier. Red seat belts too - like it.
Speaker rims are good too. After all its a red blooded bull of a car! Just the right hint of aggression.

Default thanks for the comments, like show and tell!!

to answer some Q's:

window sticker was $135K

steering wheel is factory 2000 boxster/996 carbon 3 spoke (w/factory silver crest)

sills and all extra carbon fiber is from Marcus Buhler in germany, he made them for me as ordered

miles are just over 3K

have to include an exterior photo now for good measure

thanks to the rennlist for all the help on this car.

Do you drive it at all - or is it a show car?

Dr-

Looks awesome. I definitely like the after more than the before. How is it possible that your car only has 3,000 miles?. Did you buy it like that recently?, have you had it in storage since new?

You can't, you drive it!

Dr,

IMO it looks better now with less red but I'd still prefer all black, except the belts. I like RUF wheels too.

Personally I like the fact that you've modified this kind of "show only" car but since it is "just" a showpiece and the sticker price was so high, wouldn't it be more worth to keep it totally stock?

It's eye popping, it's Barnum and Bailey, it's fun, it's exciting, it's a bit much - yet just right. I absolutely love it. If this car doesn't make you smile everytime you get in it, or have a good chuckle, what would? It's hard to say what a car really looks like till you see it in person. Sometimes the camera doesn't really catch the "effect" of a car, but when you walk up to it and open the door, that's the real appeal. You'll never see another like it, so that makes it great. I've seen pics of cars that looked over the top and then when I saw them in person & I though they were fantastic. I do like that wheel (what's not to love!) and most of the red accents. The seat is a masterpiece! Your car should be the front cover pic of Panorama one month .

Can you tell us more about the plans for your car? What will you do with it? Is it for regular driving around town, the track (I'll bet not!), or just for your garage and car shows? Either way, it's good. What ever makes YOU happy, right? I know you searched high and low for a while looking for a nice TT. Can you tell us more about that? I must have missed that story somewhere down the line.

Peace,
Steve

Default ricey, that hurts, how about spicey?

i think in person it looks a bit toned down.

the car was owned by a man that had many cars so he just didnt drive it much

in 2001 he had it modified to run in the silver state classic, but @ the race his friend's car went off track hit a tree and killed his wife who was a passenger. As a result he didnt race the turbo, he had it shipped home and used it even less as work and his children took most of his time.

he decided to sell most of his cars and i was lucky enough to buy this one.

since it was so modified to begin w/ it hasnt bothered me to make what i feel are a few positive changes. plus most of the things i have changed (red reduction) were listed under X & Y options, so the sticker doesnt state every red item on the car

i do take it out, our porsche club has what they call arrive and drive functions once a month in the summer. you show up sat a.m.'s @ a local breakfast stop and after, they go on a nice drive to different secret locations.

and drove it to our local porsche clubs largest function (Rainbonnet) and entered it in the concourse.

take it to the track on track days to watch the others drive there porsches.

and on nice days i make little trips to the porsche dealer or other shops to see things like the carrrera gt they got in, and when the 997 came out and to get parts if they are small.

but the most fun is to to give my friends a ride and watch there face's when i step on it !!

thanks, fun to show and tell
