Thanks - especially to Chuck - for all of your responses on this thread. Hopefully, others who are in a shipping dilemma can now pick from the following vendors to help assist them with shipping bulky items in the future:

FedEx Ground
California Express (in Ca)
Greyhound (depot to depot)
UPS Ground

Been there, done that with das bar. Bubble wrap bar, then wrap with two or three large cardboard boxes broken down.. 100 bucks ups atlanta to texas.
