Help! litronics upgrade : solved
For those that have done the litronics upgrade. Is there a suitable substitute tool for the pin pusher to remove the pins from the white connector at the end of the harness? I have tried all sorts of picks but cannot get both barbs suitably depressed to remove the pin.
The only thing depressed now is me! Any help, tricks or substitute tools that are commonly available that others know about would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
bill
Later, I was able to get the pins removed. I filed down a pair of sturdy tweezers to fit on each side of the pin simultaneously, and was finally able to do it. It was still a bit of a struggle. Lots of wasted time turned a 1.5 hour job into over 4 hours. My STRONG advice would be to locate a tool first, for anyone going to do the upgrade. I'll go out tonite and see how they work.

I did the upgrade a few months ago. I used the smallest micro-screwdriver designed for glasses screw I also have success using the smallest paper clip afterhammering the end flat.
Also. When it is time to push the assembly in place, try to have another person in the wheel well to line up the connector.
Good luck.
